Great Generator
Bought this generator to replace a Honda EU6500 generator, was getting a little older and I needed a more power to run my whole house. The unpackimg and power up process was clear and understandable, every functioned flawlessly, very quiet when operating.

Got me through Hurricane Ian – Can’t beat it
Used this generator for 2 weeks straight running the entire house except for a few things. Very pleased with this product, it was even strong enough to run my smaller AC 2.0 ton unit to keep us cool.

Great, not great.
The single most important check on a generator is checking oil level. Duromax made it so complicated to get your hand in compartment, around and over thick electric cables, on your knees, and still cannot get to oil dipstick. I am trying to add oil to it for the first time. I had to use an automotive hose pliers specialized tool to even get close to the dipstick. Poor design and engineering. That’s my biggest complaint which is valid and will be a problem everytime I check oil. Once I got oil filled, started right up. I appreciate the easy to follow manual.

This generator runs my 2700 square-foot house perfectly minus the AC unit. It is quiet and does not use very much fuel.

Sounds quiet on propane
I bought this because it’s a reputable name and seems to address all my requirements. Other than adding oil and running it for a few minutes to test it out, I have not yet used it. Living on the coast in florida necessitates that I have backup power. The instructions are confusing on the 9500. The oil drain drain is not what it says in the instructions.

Love this gen, it really beats out the standard ge
Love this gen… It really picks up the loads nicely. I run it on LP only, it is super quiet compared to standard design gens. The only downsides are maintenance… oil is harder to change, and spark plug is a real bear to get at. It’s worth it though, no more worries about expensive electronics getting damaged.
