Supposedly great product but terrible review.
Terrible review of a highly rated product. The “honda.com” site should clearly delineate different models of the same product. Nothing here about the one that has GFCI vs other that doesn’t!

Doesn’t last long
We loved our generator – it was powerful and quiet. We serviced it on a regular basis. Then suddenly it just quit. As if it had run out of gas. We tried repeatedly to restart with no luck. Took it to the certified repair location. They said it is an internal motor failure, and would be cheaper to just buy a new one. This generator had been used maybe 10 times. Unacceptable.

Better location search
Your web site gives locations across the bay! They aren’t close … Cape May Nj is not close to the locations in Delaware. The product could use a fuel cut off switch … gas sucks now-a-days … best practices includes running the carburetor and engine dry… much easier to do with a fuel cut off switch.

Perfect For Travel Trailer!
We’ve had the Honda generator for almost a year, using it on 8 trips to power our travel trailer. It has worked perfectly every time; it starts easily, runs the appliance, and charges the batteries. I have also used it to charge a storage battery to run my CPAP machine. I is pretty quiet too. No second thoughts on this choice- I’m a happy camper!

GREAT GENERATOR, LOUSY OIL FILLER CAP
I’VE HAD EU3000IS FOR MANY YEARS (10+), BUT THIS OIL FILLER CAP IS REALLY BAD. I SCREWED AROUND A HALF HOUR TRING TO THREAD IT INTO THE FILL PORT. I HAD TO USE A SCALPEL AND MAGNIFYING HEAD LOUPES TO TRIM AWAY THE SOFT THREAD WHICH WOULD NOT THREAD IN. SUCH A GOOD ENGINE TO RUIN THE REPUTATION OF HONDA WITH A DOLLAR PART. I HOPE THEY DIDN’T CUT CORNERS ON OTHER PORTIONS OF THIS OTHERWISE ONCE GREAT GENERATOR. SORRY TO SEE THE BATTERY CHARGE PORT DISAPPEAR, AND CO-MINDER APPEAR. US REGULATIONS SUCK. HAD I KNOWN THAT THE JAPANEESE VERSION WAS AVAILABLE TO ME (IF IT OUTPUTS 120VAC 60 HZ), I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT INSTEAD OF US MODEL

Having purchased the 2200 W Honda portable I purchased the 2200 W Honda generator about 13 years ago, we found the need for something lighter and more portable for general use: camping, out in the yard or at the park when AC power is required.

My second Honda 1000 (first one lasted from 2007 to 2024). Use it on my sailboat at anchor to run the Victron 40 amp battery charger. Four stroke
eliminates need to mix gas and oil. Oil change every 25-30 hrs. Only takes 5-10 minutes.

Food saver
I bought this unit about 5 years ago and have used it twice maybe three times for camping. It’s been sitting for the last 3 years, our power went out so I got it out to run the fridge. Who knows how long it was going to take for power again . Anyway put fresh fuel in it gave it 2 pulls and it started right up!
