Review: DuroMax-999cc 1-7/16-Inch Shaft V-Twin Eng
I am A small business owner who demands a lot from not only myself but my equipment. In the concrete trade for 20+ years had an old 35 horse OMC skidloader where motor give up on me. This motor matched spec wasn’t sure because it’s 2 cylinder instead of 4. Weighed 350 less so left me skeptical. After installation I am happy to say the motor is all that and A bag of chips. Folks at Duromax really know how to make motors! I am very satisfied this engine did the job for me and I am confident will do the job for you!

Piece of crap engine. Has so many issues after 6 months of use. Always out of replacement parts and cant even source parts for this thing.

Engine swap
I bought this engine to replace an old burnt up engine on a vermeer sc252 stump grinder. It’s bigger than the original and required a lot of modifications to my machine but the motor performs outstanding and brought new life to this old machine.
Only issues I’ve had after having it for over a year now is that it’s hard to start in the mornings like the autochoke doesn’t work so I remove the airfilter and stick my hand in the intake to block airflow and it starts right up. It recently started shutting off on me randomly and it was due to the oil level being low. The motor moves up and down and doesn’t set level on the stump grinder so I didn’t realize it had gotten low enough that it shut itself down.

Bought this engine to use on my stump grinder the power is great and would highly recommend this engine for all small engine applications
